MicroBlading

We are pleased to offer Microblading at Chrysalis!

We believe that eyebrows are an extremely important feature when it comes to facial symmetry. We can offer our patients an option to enhance, correct and even redesign their eyebrows in a clean, safe, medical environment.

What is MicroBlading?

MicroBlading is a technique used to deposit pigment superficially under the skin with a small blade comprised of thin, micro pins.

After a topical anesthetic is applied for 30 minutes, Cassie, our microblading specialist and senior esthetician will work with you to determine the desired shape and colour.

Once you are pleased with the treatment plan that is designed, the pigment is picked up by the blade and deposited under the skin in a direction resembling individual tiny hair strokes.

This technique ensures that the brows look very natural as opposed to stenciling in a solid block of colour often used with traditional tattoo technique.

How long does it last?

It is recommended that you come back anywhere from 9-18 months. Your body metabolizes the iron oxide in the pigment, so the longevity will depend on your metabolic rate.

The benefit of semi-permanent makeup as opposed to more permanent methods is that as you change, your eyebrows can change with you. You are not stuck with one shape or colour forever!

What can I expect immediately after?

We consider Microblading a little to no downtime treatment!

A thin layer of vaseline is applied immediately post-treatment and must be kept on the area for 5 days. The area should be kept dry for 48 hours post treatment but we have some tips and tricks for washing your hair/showering that we will share with your during your visit.
