PRP Hair Restoration

What is PRP Hair Restoration
and what can it do for me?

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) for hair restoration involves a simple injection of your own platelets into areas of the scalp where the hair is thinning. The platelet Rich Plasma contains healing growth factors that act like signal callers, giving instructions to your tissue to regenerate and multiply. Many different fields of medicine have used PRP for wound healing and stimulating the production of stronger, healthier tissue formation.

What Are The Benefits?

  • Increased number of follicles
  • Increased rate of growth
  • Slows down shedding and hair loss

Frequently Asked Questions

How Does it work?

The process involves a quick collection and concentration of your body’s own platelets using a very easy process:

Step 1

A small collection of your blood is placed into a centrifuge – a machine that separates red and white blood cells from the platelet rich plasma.

Step 2

Freezing is administered locally to ensure that the treatment is comfortable.

Step 3

After 10 minutes of centrifusion, the plasma is ready to be injected into the scalp. The injections are strategically placed into areas where the hair is thinning.

How many Treatments are required?

The number of initial treatments may vary depending on the individual’s needs. Initially, we recommend 3-5 treatments spaced one month apart. After the initial treatment series, we suggest maintenance treatments 2-3 times per year.

How soon will I see results?

The results for PRP are not typically apparent for at least 3 months and continue to improve thereafter. We recommend our patients use a multi-faceted treatment approach that also includes a topical application of Revivogen Scalp Therapy – a natural DHT blocker that can be used in place of minoxidil (Rogane).
